Profhilo is an injectable "bio-remodelling" treatment containing one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA) available on the market (64mg / 2ml). However, unlike traditional dermal fillers, Profhilo is not designed to add volume, contour the face, or restrict muscle movement like anti-wrinkle injections.
Instead, it acts as a powerful internal moisturiser. Once injected just below the skin's surface, it disperses evenly like honey, stimulating four different types of collagen and elastin. This process, known as bio-remodelling, improves skin tone, hydration, and the appearance of fine lines, resulting in a firmer, more luminous complexion.
Because it lacks the chemical cross-linking agents (like BDDE) found in traditional fillers, Profhilo integrates seamlessly into the tissue without forming lumps or altering your natural facial shape.
Profhilo requires a specific injection technique known as the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique. This involves 5 precise injection points on each side of the face to ensure optimal diffusion of the product while avoiding major blood vessels and nerves. Only practitioners specifically trained in the Profhilo BAP protocol should administer this treatment.
Profhilo is highly effective for areas prone to skin laxity and signs of ageing, including:
While Profhilo has an excellent safety profile due to its high biocompatibility and lack of cross-linking agents, it still carries the risks inherent to any injectable treatment, including bruising, swelling, and infection. Because it is injected superficially, the risk of vascular occlusion is significantly lower than with traditional fillers, but it is not zero. Always choose a medically qualified practitioner.
